14/11/15 – Close to Me

Technically, I guess, we could have done the Forest of Dean parkrun, but it would have meant missing out on breakfast. To be honest, neither of us were in much condition (Can’t be arsed to google the welsh for ‘hangover’) and the awful events in Paris the previous night keep us glued to the morning news.

One of my occasional jobs in the ‘Crazy Carter Crew’ was Merch man. It’s a real shock to learn later in the day that the Eagles of Death Metal’s English Merch guy was a casualty of the Bataclan massacre.

Although I’d never met Nick Alexander myself, in turns out the guy is known by various members of the Carter family… suddenly, those events seem much closer to home.
